Mike Owen and Mathew Knight, Principals of Atlas Construction Group, announce they have been awarded The Blake Griffin Performance Center project at the University of Oklahoma. Construction of the $7 million, two-story addition to the Lloyd Noble Center in Norman will commence next month. The OU Board of Regents voted unanimously in favor of naming the facility after Griffin, an OU alumni and celebrated athlete, who is providing an undisclosed donation for the project.
This will be a state-of-the-art performance and training facility for both the men’s and women’s basketball programs, as well as other various athletic programs. The 18,400 square feet will serve as the new weight training, performance enhancement, and overall conditioning facility.
Atlas has previously constructed the OU Football Locker Room and the Gregg Wadley Tennis Facility. Additionally, Atlas completed the NBA Indoor Training and Practice Facility for the Oklahoma City Thunder.
